More than a hundred flights were detained at Moscow airports

At the airports of the Moscow air hub, according to 15:30 MSK, 103 flights were delayed for departure and arrival. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

An opera headquarters was organized in Sheremetyevo, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport Vladimir Poteshkin, representatives of Rosaviation, Rostransnadzor, airlines and capital airports.

“At present, all airports receive and depart flights in consultation with the relevant authorities. Safety is a priority, the Ministry of Transport said.

The airline’s executives were instructed to ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations governing the provision of drinks and meals, as well as the accommodation of passengers in the hotel. In addition, the companies were instructed to strengthen the work of representatives on the ground and organize a SMS message about changes in the status of the flight.

Call centers were instructed to inform passengers in advance about changes in flight performance, and airport representatives to provide passengers with all the necessary conditions for a comfortable wait for flights.

The State Corporation for Air Traffic Management was instructed to additionally assess the equipment and capacity of spare airfields and control the direction of the boards in them, if necessary.

Restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports were introduced late in the evening on October 16. Later, Sheremetyevo Airport also joined the restrictions. The restrictions were lifted only by 07:00 on October 17.
