Sheremetyevo Airport announced the transfer of Air Cairo flight to Hurghada

The flight from Moscow to Hurghada was postponed to the morning of October 18 due to the deterioration of one of the crew members. This was reported by the press service of Sheremetyevo airport.

“Flight SM788 was fully ready for departure on the route “Moscow-Hurghada”, but the departure had to be postponed due to the deterioration of the health of one of the crew members,” – stated in the message.

According to the airport, the airline does not have a reserve crew in Russia, so the carrier decided to postpone the flight.

At 18:38 MSK, passengers left the plane and went to the airport terminal. Then the staff of the airport unloaded the luggage and re-registered the passengers.

Later, Sheremetyevo reported that all passengers who wished to use the accommodation for the waiting time were accommodated in hotels. The airport and the airline continue to coordinate and inform passengers of schedule changes.

In February 2026, flight S7 from Phuket to Irkutsk was delayed for more than 18 hours. Passengers organized meals and drinks, but it was not possible to place them in hotels due to a lack of available rooms at the height of the tourist season.

In May, the airline was fined 35 thousand rubles for violating the rights of passengers.
