Forecaster told how long in Moscow will be delayed golden autumn

Golden autumn in Moscow can last until the beginning of November, said RBC weather forecaster Tatiana Pozdnyakova.

“We are now in the golden autumn period, and the winter is ahead of us. Here is a golden autumn, it can last, it can be very short. It so happens that sometimes we have snow cover is established in the twenties of October, then it is short. And there is a long period of golden autumn. Pre-winter comes only in the first days of November. That is likely to happen, said Pozdnyakova.

In the coming week, meteorological conditions in the region will be formed under the influence of the anticyclone. On the current day, a cold atmospheric front passes through the Moscow region, which will bring small precipitation, mainly to the northern regions. Despite the fact that night temperatures remain at abnormally high levels (about +7 °), tomorrow, October 19, is expected to be a significant cooling: the daily maximum will not exceed +8 ... +10 °.

Pozdnyakova notes that in the following days, under the influence of anticyclone, dry weather with variable cloudiness will be established. Due to the clear nights and their duration, the air will be intensely cooled. At night, thermometers can drop to small negative values (up to -2 ° on Tuesday night), but the day will still be quite warm: from +8 ° to +13 °. Despite the fact that the background temperature will remain 2-3 degrees above the climatic norm, the abnormal heat of the weekend will recede.

“So, the period of golden autumn we continue, the weather is dry, relatively warm,” concluded the weather forecaster.
