The former head of the USB of the St. Petersburg interior Ministry seized apartments, cars and -171.5 million

The Petrogradsky district court of St. Petersburg turned into the state income real estate, cars and 171.52 million rubles. in the case of the former head of the department of own security of the regional interior Ministry Alexei Vasiliev. This was reported by the joint press service of the city courts.

The court found that from 2010 to 2023, the total official income of Vasiliev and his wife amounted to 38.6 million rubles. At the same time, during the same period, they purchased 23 real estate objects and six vehicles with a total value of at least 227.2 million rubles.

The property was issued on Vasiliev's wife, his mother, father-in-law, grandmother and sister of the spouse, as well as other persons. Their income did not allow them to make such purchases, and in fact the property was used by the family of the former policeman, the court established.

In the income of the state turned, in particular, an apartment of 127.9 square meters. m and a car-place on Petrovsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg, shares in a building in Sestroretsk, a land plot in the Sertolovsk urban settlement and buildings in Vsevolozhsk.

The list also includes real estate in Moscow, the Moscow region and Sochi, including an apartment of 190.6 square meters in the suburbs, as well as cars Mercedes-Benz V220d 4Matic, Audi Q8 and Audi A6.

Vasiliev served in the internal affairs bodies from November 2003 to April 2023. He headed the Department of Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region in May 2019. As a post, he was required to declare income, expenses and property – both his spouse and minor children – and to comply with anti-corruption prohibitions and restrictions.
