She said this in a video posted by Chekalina’s fiancé Luis Skvichciarini on Instagram (the social network belongs to Meta, which is recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia). Lercek herself is banned from social media.
"The cancer has intensified," Skvicciarini wrote.

Doctors also advised her to consider treatment in China with a CAR-T vaccine. To travel abroad, Chekalina must obtain a court permit.
“We hope that it will be possible to obtain permission to fly out at the court,” Skvichciarini said.
On October 21, the state prosecution asked the Moscow City Court to reject the appeals of the former spouse of blogger Valeria Chekalina Artem Chekalin, sentenced to seven years in prison for illegal monetary transactions worth more than 250 million rubles.
