In the urban district of Nagchu, the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China, an earthquake of magnitude 7.0 was recorded. As a result of the disaster, at least 16 people were killed, the number of victims reached 32.

The number of victims with serious injuries reached 11 people. As a result of seismic activity, 339 families lost their homes. In the disaster zone, a search and rescue operation is deployed, medical assistance is provided.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Management of China, the epicenter of the earthquake lies at a depth of 10 km. In the region, the fourth level of response to emergencies was announced, an operational group of rescuers was sent to the place.

In June, Xinhua reported a magnitude 5.5 earthquake in China’s Sichuan province that injured 13 people.
