The head of Kuzbass reported a seismic event of magnitude 4.9

In Kuzbass there was a seismic event of magnitude 4.9, said the Governor of the region Ilya Seredyuk.

“Tonight there was a seismic event of magnitude 4.9 on the territory of the Belovsk municipal district, 4 km from the village of Krasnobrodsky. The wobble of the earth was felt in the cities: Kiselevsk, Belovo, Leninsk-Kuznetsky, as well as in Prokopyevsk and Belovsk MO, the head of the region noted.

According to operational information, there were no casualties or destruction. All life support systems are operating normally. There were no reports of violations in the operation of enterprises in the territory associated with the seismic event.

Seredyuk instructed the heads of nearby municipalities to take control of the situation. According to him, the monitoring of the situation continues, the Governor maintains contact with experts.
