In Ivanovo eliminated a major fire in which a firefighter died

In Ivanovo extinguished a large fire that arose in a production building on Kosyakov Street. This was reported in “Max” by the press service of the regional Emergencies Ministry.

“Elimination of the fire at 05:30 [Moscow]”, — stated in the message of the Ministry.

The fire in the production building in Ivanovo began on the afternoon of October 23. The fire was reported to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations at 14:06 MSK. When the first units arrived, the building was already on fire. Initially, the fire was localized on an area of 900 square meters.

Later, the fire area increased to 4.8 thousand square meters. Extinguishing was complicated by the complex layout and design features of the building. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of fire and smoke contributed to the high fire load and the lack of automatic fire protection systems.

During the extinguishment, a collapse occurred, which injured five firefighters. One of them died, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
