In the Krasnodar Territory, 8 new complexes for processing solid municipal waste (MSW) are being designed. The authorities of the region expect that this will help to achieve 100% sorting and 50% recycling by 2030.
Waste management was discussed at a meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev. By video link, Vice-Governor of Kuban Evgeny Pergun participated in it. At the meeting, they talked about how the regions fulfill the roadmaps: they develop infrastructure, purchase special equipment and equip container sites.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Krasnodar Territory in 2026 copes with plans for the purchase of containers and garbage trucks. The region also actively participates in the program of preferential leasing of municipal special equipment with the support of the Russian Government.
According to Evgeny Pergun, for the resort and densely populated region, waste management issues are among the priorities. Currently, about 43% of waste gets to waste sorting complexes. To increase this indicator, in 2026, the site of composting the organic part of garbage is launched at the Kraizhilkomresursa facility.
Now there are 5 regional operators in the region, an average of about 700 units of special equipment go on routes every day. This year, 79 vehicles were purchased. Also in the region, they are strengthening control over garbage removal - increasing the share of photofixation to monitor the timeliness of work, the press service of the Krasnodar Territory Administration reports.
