87-year-old resident of Mordovia died in a fire – the UK is checking

The Investigative Committee for the Republic of Mordovia has begun an investigation into the death of an 87-year-old woman in a fire. The fire in the private house of the village of Kamenka, Romodanovsky district occurred on October 17, 2026. After eliminating the fire, firefighters found the body of the hostess in the house, which has traces of thermal effects.
It is reported that the woman lived alone, and the fire became known thanks to the vigilance of neighbors. Investigative actions are being carried out to establish the causes of the fire and all the circumstances of the incident. A forensic examination has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death. Following the audit, a procedural decision will be made.
