96% of pskov wheat suitable for food, concluded st. petersburg experts

98.9 thousand tons of crops harvested in the Pskov region were checked by specialists of the St. Petersburg branch of the FGBI "CSOC AIC" as part of state monitoring. About this "MK in Pskov" reported in the press service of the center.

Experts found that 96% of the sampled wheat corresponds to 3-4 classes suitable for food purposes. This is 31% more than last season. Experts assessed the protein content, gluten, nature, impurities, humidity, pest contamination, the incidence of grain pests and diseases, as well as the number of falls.

2026 gave grain producers favorable weather for the formation of high consumer properties of grain. According to the results of laboratory studies, it turned out to be performed and large, which will allow processors to get more flour.

Pskov region is the largest region of the North-West in wheat cultivation. Cleaning is continuing now. The yield of this year is 11 c / ha higher than last year.
