99-Year-Old Briton Sets Guinness World Record by Ride on Aircraft Wing
Helga Duffy, a resident of the UK, proved by her own example that there are no age limits for bold actions.

At the age of 99, she made an extreme flight, entrenched on the wing of a small-engine aircraft, and officially hit the pages of the Guinness Book of Records.
The idea came to the woman spontaneously: seeing a plot on TV about 97-year-old Betty Bromage, who did a similar stunt, Helga was eager to surpass this achievement. The adventure took place at RFC Rendcomb Airfield in Gloucestershire. Special belts reliably fixed the brave traveler on the upper part of the fuselage, after which the plane soared into the sky.
According to the record holder, she was not afraid. On the contrary, she was filled with excitement and anticipation of incredible emotions. Near the airfield, Helga's nieces watched the spectacular spectacle. They noted that their aunt always dreamed of doing something truly unusual to show that old age is not a reason to sit still.
Her record-breaking flight, Duffy dedicated a noble purpose. Thanks to her courage, she managed to raise more than £1,300 for the Wiltshire and Bath air ambulance service.
After a successful landing, the representative of the Guinness Book of Records presented the heroine with a long-awaited certificate. However, her triumph may be short-lived. Betty Bromage, who has already conquered the sky in this way six times, warmly congratulated her rival, but immediately said: she will definitely return to the title of record holder as soon as she celebrates her 100th anniversary.
