For most subjects, the threshold is 40 points.

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia has prepared a draft order with minimum exam points for admission to universities in 2027. For most subjects, the threshold is 40 points.
According to the project, for admission you will need to score at least 40 points in Russian language, profile mathematics, history, foreign language, literature, biology, geography and chemistry. For physics, the threshold was set at 41 points, for social science - 45, for computer science - 46 points. These values correspond to previous standards.
Changes are also planned to be made to examination materials in some subjects. According to the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements, the number of tasks in the Unified State Examination in History will increase from 21 to 22, and the maximum primary score will increase from 42 to 43. In profile mathematics tasks will be 20 instead of 19, the maximum primary score will increase from 32 to 33. For other subjects, the number of tasks is planned to be retained.
A separate draft of amendments concerns the rules for admission to universities for the academic year 2027/2028. It is proposed to expand the list of areas for admission to which physics will be required, make history mandatory for a number of specialties and establish a requirement for specialized mathematics for areas related to information security.
