Governor Alexander Dronov said in his channel in the messenger "Max" that in the Novgorod region exceeded the plan for road repair. According to the plan, 100 kilometers were to be repaired, and 123 were repaired, and today 70% of the roads in the region are in normal condition.
“We continue to put bridges in order. The repair program includes 11 facilities, five of which are already ready. We monitor emergency bridges separately - if the object requires urgent repairs, it is included in the plan first of all, the head of the region wrote.
The governor noted that with the improvement of the condition of roads, their safety is changing for the better. In January-August 2026, the death rate in road accidents decreased by 16%.
Reduce accidents and video cameras. Now in Novgorod there are 204 cameras that record violations of traffic rules. By the end of the year, there will be 218. Another 147 cameras will appear in the areas where accidents are highest.
Alexander Dronov thanked Novgorod road workers and transport workers for their work and stressed that thanks to these people, travel becomes more comfortable and safe.
