Aliya Short showed the images that will present at the contest “Miss Universe”

First Vice-Miss of the national contest “Miss Belarus – 2025” and the winner of the third place in MISS BRICS – 2026 Aliya Short will represent our country at the prestigious international contest “Miss Universe”, which will be held from November 8 to November 24 in Puerto Rico. Correspondents sb.by found out what plans to surprise the jury and audience around the world.

At a press conference at the National School of Beauty, two main images were presented, which the participant from Belarus will show in the final of the Miss Universe contest. The first is a national costume prepared by Belarusian designer Dmitry Titushkin. The second image is an evening dress that was sewn for Alia by her mother, designer Diana Short.

Director of the National School of Beauty Bozena Jeremich noted:

Preparation for the international contest “Miss Universe” was conducted for several months. During this time, many master classes on hairdressing, makeup, style and etiquette were held for Alia, as she travels alone to Puerto Rico. Special emphasis is placed on in-depth study of English, so that our participant felt confident and worthy of representing the country.

At the prestigious competition among the most beautiful women in the world, attention will be paid to charity. The Belarusian team has prepared a lot that is directly associated with our country, local folklore and legends. Manufactured at the enterprise of OJSC Glass Factory "Neman". Money from the sale of an unusual flower will go to charity.

- The creative team decided to play with flowers, collecting different shades. It turned out a bright palette: blue, white, coral, red, salad ... Several types of fabrics were used, including chiffon and capron, crystals. In the national costume there is a stunning accent - there is a rowan on the headdress. This is an ancient symbol that represents the fate of a Belarusian woman. In the Year of the Belarusian woman, this is especially true.

- My final white dress symbolizes tenderness, purity and at the same time the character of a modern Belarusian woman. In the evenings for a month, my mother worked painstakingly to make me the most beautiful in the competition. The outfit uses organza, ostrich feathers, metal applications, rhinestones and beads.

- This is my sixth beauty contest. And if on the first before going on stage even shaken hands, now to confuse me is not easy.
