BISI analyst Aleynikova: Presidential elections are the main form of political participation in the life of the country for Belarusians

Belarusians consider participation in the elections, primarily the President, to be an effective mechanism for their political participation in society. This was during the presentation of the second part of the results of a large-scale comprehensive republican sociological study, which concerns socio-political topics, said BISI analyst Svetlana Aleynikova, the correspondent of sb.by reports.

- Citizens are sure that their will can influence the political system, and the election of the President is the main form of political participation in the life of the country, very important for people.

- They have great reserves to show people their ability to solve certain problems. But so far there is no huge request for them. Perhaps there are reserves for the work of the political parties themselves to show people how they can be involved in solving pressing issues and problems of the population. Because the assessment of political structures is purely personal. That is, how much this or that structure can help solve my problems. And when civil society structures are fully involved in solving these problems, then the demand for political parties will increase. So far, we do not see this significant request, Svetlana Aleynikova said.
