Anapa hotel ordered to return to Voronezh 300 thousand rubles for failed rest

Bobrovsky district court considered the case of refund of money for rest, which never took place. This was reported in the press service of the court.

Last year, a family from the Voronezh region - two adults and three children - booked nine nights at the Old Anapa Hotel. The cost of the trip was 247 thousand rubles. However, the holiday had to be canceled for personal reasons, and tourists appealed to the hotel with a request for a refund.

According to the court, representatives of the hotel on the same day promised to transfer the money within a month. But by May, the deadline had passed, and payment had never arrived. Then the family filed a lawsuit: in addition to the cost of the ticket, tourists asked to recover a penalty in the amount of 247 thousand rubles, 50 thousand rubles of compensation for moral damage and 30 thousand rubles for the services of a representative.

The court granted the claims in part. Each of the adult plaintiffs received 123 thousand rubles per ticket, 5 thousand rubles of moral compensation and 10 thousand rubles of legal expenses. In addition, the hotel imposed a fine of 30 thousand rubles. Thus, the total amount of penalties amounted to about 300 thousand rubles.
