Andrei Bocharov appreciated the progress of improvement of Traktorozavodsky district of Volgograd
In Volgograd, another section of the historical center of Traktorozavodsky district is being prepared for renovation: Governor Andrei Bocharov synchronized the improvement of Dzerzhinsky Street with the renewal of utility networks and housing stock.

During a working trip to the northern part of the hero city, the head of the region inspected the progress of large-scale renovation of public spaces. In the Traktorozavodsk district, the improvement of the next section of the street has already been completed. Dzerzhinsky - from house No. 28 to Meshcheryakov Street. To create a comfortable walking area, contractors replaced 4.5 thousand square meters of old asphalt with new tiles, planted 140 trees and 153 shrubs, laid 4 km of new water supply, and installed a pergola with swings, energy-saving lamps and a video surveillance system. The project is made in a single style, in parallel there is a restoration of the facades of historical “Stalinka”, which is especially important on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the street in 2026.
Andrey Bocharov set the task of completing the project in 2027, synchronizing the work on the site from houses No. 30-24 to the Palace of Culture with the reconstruction of heat and water supply networks.
Special attention is paid to the renovation of the territory of the Traktor stadium and the surrounding space. Proposals for this large-scale investment project should be submitted early next year in order to complete the work by the end of 2028. The development of the territory will go in conjunction with the renewal of the housing stock: part of the buildings will be put in order under the overhaul program, and the objects in a dilapidated state will decide on reconstruction or resettlement.
The large-scale renovation is divided into stages: the first of them became possible thanks to the victory in the all-Russian vote on improvement in 2025. Previously, the section of the street has been updated. Dzerzhinsky from V. I. Lenin Avenue to Shurukhin Street and the territory near the DK Traktorozavodsky District, where children's and sports grounds appeared, as well as art lanterns in the form of musicians' figures.
All these works are part of the 10-year comprehensive development program of Volgograd and are being implemented, among other things, within the framework of the national project Infrastructure for Life. Since 2014, about 2.9 thousand objects have already been landscaped in the region, and systematic work on the formation of a comfortable environment with the involvement of residents continues both in the regional capital and in small towns.
