Illustrative photo from the archive "SB Belarus Today" * September 17, 1939 Belarus and its residents have found the opportunity to develop on the basis of their cultural traditions. Belarusians again began to realize themselves as an equal nation and people for whom the road was open for full implementation, career growth in state bodies, active participation in socio-political and cultural life. The reunification of the people and territories allowed our republic to make a civilizational breakthrough. The round table “The Power of Unity: From the Present Ethnocide to Consolidation for the Future” was devoted to this topic. - Nothing is more precious than peace! It can only be maintained in a strong and united country. In a country where people live by their work. In a country where they honor the lessons of history and do not succumb to the sweet promises of panshka and a better fate in a foreign land. We remember that. This memory should be preserved for our children and grandchildren. That is why in 2021, a new holiday appeared in our calendar, still very young. But he caught on, this holiday, and it's very important today. Because they are trying to divide us again. They try to separate with meanings, try to separate with ideas, and even physically. Without asking us, we are told where to go. But we have already felt the pan’s “grace”, felt the pan’s whip. And we don't want to do it again! Details - in the text of Maxim Osipov and Anastasia Tselyuk on the pages of the newspaper "SB". Belarus today”.

She experienced panish oppression, survived the war in which she lost her father, worked all her life for the benefit of her homeland and in her 100 years she is happy to live in sovereign Belarus. For Nadezhda Semyonovna Pavlyuk from Novogrudok, Grodno region, September 17 is one of the main dates in the calendar. She says holidays like National Unity Day, Independence Day are like beacons that shine decades or even centuries ahead. One of the main events in my life is the reunification of Belarus in September 1939. I was a living witness to that era. We have suffered from the Polish masters. From the age of 12, she worked as a farmer. They didn't think we were human. It was called cattle. And we need to bow in the belt to our President, who established this important holiday.

A resident of Novogrudok notes that the Poles abused the Belarusians for a long time until 1939, although the Slavs themselves were not. Everyone knows how people in the Berez-Kartuzskaya concentration camp were tortured to death. Children were condemned to hard labor. The Belarusian language and the Orthodox faith were banned.

- Under this oppression was impossible, – emphasizes the interlocutor. - And what can give strength to withstand the seemingly unthinkable torment? Only hope. And we were waiting for release! The Red Army was greeted with flowers and bread and salt. They sang and danced for a few days. And then the fascists came. Erupts... Burned villages, for nothing killed civilians. My father was shot in front of me. (Smashing a tear.) It was tough after the war, too. I remember women wearing straps carrying a heavy plow. We were lucky to have a few horses. I put my six-year-old brother on a horse and plowed the sowing for 10-12 hours in a row. At the same time, she did two useful things: she brought benefits to people and looked after her brother.

Discourse wise experience of Nadezhda Pavlyuk on the unity of the people and the modern life of Belarusians – in the material of Vladimir Kozyrev. Minsk Tractor Plant is thousands of people in love with their profession. There are also labor dynasties with a rich history. A striking example is Sergey and Natalia Oropai. The total length of their dynasty is 156 years. The spouses have a wealth of experience, which they pass on not only to their children, but also to young professionals.

Sergey Oropai is the installer of the foundry No. 1. About his working day he says: “Going to the shop, where you need to ensure the launch of conveyors. Then comes the smelting of the metal. ” Natalia Oropai is a marker of the quality management of products in the foundry, in the same model area, which began her journey in the enterprise. Natalia's duties include working with drawings. After receipt of the casting, the documentation is studied and compared with the received part. Then control. With the help of tools such as routmus, caliper, the conformity of the casting to the drawing is checked. Particular attention is paid to the accuracy of the dimensions. If inconsistencies are detected during the inspection, the casting is sent for recycling. After correction, the detail is again transferred to the control, where it is rechecked.

The couple have five children. Daughter Olga followed in the footsteps of her parents and connected her life with the Minsk Tractor Plant. It is responsible for markup in product quality management.

This year, the couple presented the Minsk Tractor Plant at the competition “Labor dynasty – 2026”, which was held in Bobruisk. The theme was “Generational heritage – for the prosperity of the native land”. Ten teams fought for the title of the best. The Oropai family took first place.

- We offered to take part in his wife as a mother of many children, shared details Sergey Alexandrovich. In addition, the total length of our working dynasty is 156 years. The competition is something new for us, so we gladly agreed to try our hand.

The spouses have been working for more than a decade at the Minsk Tractor Plant. Over the years, different things have happened, but there has been much more good. Including moments about which they remember with special warmth and for which they are grateful to the company and their native workforce.

If you want to get acquainted with this family closer, then be sure to read the material of Ivan Valuev in the publication “Respublika”.

The unity of the people is a necessary condition for prosperity, preservation of the independence of the country, the foundation of stability of the state. There is a parallel with the Basic Law of the Republic of Belarus, which, in turn, unites society and clearly defines fair rules of life, under which the rights, freedoms and duties of each citizen are realized. On the eve of the Day of National Unity, Alexander Karavai, a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus, discussed the importance in the life of modern society of reunification of the people and territories of Belarus.

He calls the unification of September 17, 1939, a key event in the history of our country:

The Belarusian people had the opportunity to live as a whole on the basis of common cultural and spiritual traditions, to develop socio-economic, socio-political and cultural potential, which subsequently served as the basis for the emergence and successful development of the sovereign and independent Republic of Belarus.

Details - in an interview that the judge of the Constitutional Court took Oksana Nevmerzhitskaya.

September 1939 - a special date in the historical chronicle Molodechno. On September 17, after almost two decades of occupation, the city returned to Belarus. Together with the units of the Red Army that entered the settlement, the long-awaited liberation came to the locals - the policy of forced polarization and national discrimination was in the past, giving way to the hope for a new, just life. This day became a symbol of the restoration of historical justice for many Belarusians, who for many years languished under foreign oppression.

According to the Riga peace treaty, more than 100 thousand kilometers of the territory of Western Belarus, including six districts of the Minsk region – Volozhinsky, Vilei, Myadel, Molodechnensky, Nesvizhsky and Stolbtsovsky, became part of Poland.

- The Poles considered the Belarusian lands only as their agrarian appendage, so during the occupation, enterprises were actively closed there: just a few years they were liquidated about 200, said Natalia Poltavets, senior researcher at the Minsk Regional Museum of Local History.

It was not easy for the local population. Especially hard lived peasants, for whom the system of taxes was introduced: land, road, school, insurance, sejm, hoof, office. The main source of income of peasant farms - the sale of agricultural products - was carried out at low prices, which were set by Polish buyers. At the same time, prices for basic necessities such as matches, salt, kerosene, and tobacco were artificially inflated, making them almost inaccessible to peasants. But for growing tobacco in his garden, a person could be prosecuted.

The city of Molodechno has always been of great transport and economic importance, since there was a railway junction located near the border. But with the arrival of the Polish authorities on parallel tracks in the areas of Krulevschyzna, Lida, Vilna began to remove the rails to limit the movement of trains. In this regard, some of the railway workers were left without work, and Molodechno lost the status of a junction station, said Natalia Poltavets.
