Arthur Parfenchikov: The victory of Petrozavodsk in the competition of the best projects of the KRT is a recognition at the federal level of our work to transform the city

The capital of Karelia was among the winners of the All-Russian competition of the best projects of integrated development of territories. The head of the region announced the recognition of Petrozavodsk as one of the best in the country in implementing improvement programs on his page in social networks.

The results of the All-Russian competition of the best projects of integrated development of territories of the Ministry of Construction of Russia summed up in Moscow the day before. Experts highly appreciated the KRT project, which the authorities together with developers are implementing in two city blocks of Petrozavodsk: between Mikhail Isserson and Kirov streets, as well as between Kirov and Leningradskaya streets.

- Here, on the site of old emergency houses, we will build modern residential complexes. In addition, we will make new roads, update engineering networks, improve Ivan Petrov’s square – in short, we will form a full-fledged, comfortable urban environment where it will be pleasant to live, work and raise children, said the Head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov. I thank the Petrozavodsk administration team, the builders and everyone involved in the preparation of these projects. For us, this is not just an award, it is a recognition at the federal level of the great work we are doing to transform our city.

Petrozavodsk is not the first comprehensive development project. Karelia is one of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, where this mechanism is most actively used for the resettlement of the emergency fund. The first project was the territory near the streets of the North, Sorok, Shotman and Pervomaysky Prospect, where the developers settled 10 emergency houses.

Also, within the framework of the KRT, new residential complexes will be built in the area of October Avenue and Krasnoflotskaya Street, at the intersection of Pervomaisky Avenue with Shotman Street, on the territory of Ski and Rovio Streets, Krupskaya and Pervomaisky Avenue, Krasnoarmeyskaya Street and Drevlyanskaya Embankment, in the area of the Spartak Stadium and on the site in the center of Petrozavodsk, limited to Maxim Gorky, Antikainen, Gogol and Anokhin Streets. In addition, the plans include in the program of integrated development of the territories of emergency houses in the Zareka microdistrict.
