On September 14, the Center for Technical Creativity of Children and Youth begins classes in interest groups. Is it possible to register and what innovations are expected in the new academic year, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency learned.
In mid-August, the Center for Technical Creativity of Children and Youth opened an entry in the association of interests, and in many areas there was a hype in the first days.
- According to the latest data, more than 3 thousand children were recruited, said the director of the center Vladislav Krainov. We are now holding organizational meetings with the parents of the pupils, and a full-fledged educational process will begin next week.
According to the director, the interest in technical creativity among the younger generation is great. And this is not an accident, but a trend of the age of supertechnology. Our state has taken care to create conditions for the younger generation, designed to help them implement any engineering projects.
- Children are available in such areas as robotics, IT, ship and aircraft modeling, motorsport and much more. Technology and technology are improving before our eyes. Young Minsk residents have the opportunity to get in touch with the latest equipment, learn how to handle it. We are raising future engineers who will create advanced devices at the intersection of sciences, the source said.
V. Krainov said that there was a flurry of calls from the children themselves. They asked how to join, whether it is possible to attend several circles.
- Such genuine interest is worth a lot! We really have a lot of directions. You can go to several associations. Most of them are on a budgetary basis. The main thing is to have time to combine basic education with additional education, he said. Most of the students are recruited, but until September 13 inclusive there is still an opportunity to enroll in the circle.
Natural science laboratory
From the current academic year, a large number of interest associations for children and adolescents will open on the basis of the laboratory. Here are waiting for children interested in chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, geography. Classes will be held in rooms equipped with the latest science and technology.
We were the first to visit the lab. The design is already impressive. On the training grounds there are multimedia screens, interactive panels. Workplaces are equipped with modern computer monitors. And we have never seen such a visualization of the Mendeleev table anywhere else! Dozens of cells were placed on a large wall, each for a specific chemical element and with smart lighting. Thanks to this design, you can arrange chemical quizes, for example, by guessing a particular element. The correct answer is that the cell lights up with a certain color.
Children will be able to learn in practice the surrounding world and its properties using mobile laboratories. These are compact metal suitcases in which the necessary equipment for experiments is collected. So, in a suitcase for studying metals - devices for melting them, measuring physical properties.
There are mobile laboratories studying the state of the environment: it is not difficult to take soil, water, air samples with this equipment. You can not ignore the laboratory of fire and ceramics. In general, young researchers will not be bored.
- At the moment, there is no such equipment in schools, explained V. Krainov. Groups are recruited from 4th grade.
Aviation and drones
- Immersing children in the world of aircraft modeling begins from the very first day. This academic year we are recruiting pupils from a young age - 6-9 years old, - said the head of the laboratory of aviation, missile equipment and UAV Vasily Zagrebny. They will acquire the knowledge that will allow them to design an aircraft, launch it, compete in competitions.
Classes in the laboratory are serious special training, especially for those who in the future dream to connect life with aviation. Children master the basics of aerodynamics, learn to understand internal combustion engines.
- We also open the UAV piloting circle, where schoolchildren will get acquainted with the work of quadcopters. Of course, they will start with simple models. They will study the design, deal with their repair and operation, continued V. Zagrebny. In the laboratory there is a simulator, with which children acquire the skills of UAV control. And then they go to the real training track. The operator of unmanned aerial vehicles is a widely sought-after technological profession. And you can dive into it in the center already from 12-18 years.
Nine-grader of gymnasium No. 43 Nikita Soroko has been mastering drones for a year.
- I had a dream of flying. And now there is such an opportunity. The aircraft rose to a height of 30 meters, and I, being on the ground, through special glasses that connect to the cameras of the quadcopter, saw and felt everything as if I was floating in the air. It's very exciting. Thanks to the classes, I learned how UAVs are arranged, learned to assemble them from scratch, he said. I plan to enter BNTU for a specialty related to geodesy. In this area, drones are also used to study the terrain.
Technical creativity is in demand. Such clubs perfectly complement the school curriculum. Kids come to class with great pleasure. It is here that they take the first steps towards the dream of becoming designers, pilots, says V. Zagrebly.
Laboratory of Project Activities
We implement projects invented by students. They are different – from a farm drone to a biometric prosthesis! In our laboratory, you can design anything, said laboratory assistant Evgeny Tabutsadze.
At the disposal of students the latest equipment: 3D printers, laser engravers, all kinds of machines and soldering stations. A true design paradise!
Evgeny also presented the novelty of the year: a 3D printer that prints concrete. And this device is really designed for large-scale projects. The size is impressive, so the design was placed on the street.
- Together with the students, we designed and printed a concrete bench, Yevgeny said. - The prototype was presented to the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev.
The composition of the mixture for the printer, the guys also developed independently. The plans are to print original art objects that will decorate the area adjacent to the center.
And in the near future, they will design their own electric buggy.
Plans for the new school year
Engineering classes
Students of capital schools engaged in specialized classes of engineering orientation will also be trained in the Center for technical creativity of children and youth. A special program was prepared for them. During the week, students will visit various laboratories, immerse themselves in robotics, ship modeling, architecture, mechatronics, 3D modeling. Not only theoretical, but also practical classes are expected. Everyone will create their own project, and at the end of the training will have to protect it.
Step to the Future Camp
During school holidays, an educational and health camp with a day stay will operate on the basis of the center. Its uniqueness lies in its technical profile. Students of Minsk schools and gymnasiums will be able to get acquainted with the work of the institution of additional education and its directions, study in laboratories and visit a number of landmark enterprises of the capital.

More than 3,000 students will start classes at the center.
Training will be conducted in more than 300 programs of associations of interests.
Six young professionals will start working with students in the new academic year.
There will be nine laboratories:
