Bashkiria demonstrates intellectual agrarian policy in Moscow
The pavilion of Bashkiria at the main agricultural exhibition of the country "Golden Autumn" was visited by the Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev and Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut

They didn't come here for formal protocol, but to see what seemed like science fiction yesterday.
The area of 144 square meters became for Bashkortostan not just an exhibition platform, but a showcase of a new, intellectual agrarian policy. For example, the system of digital phenotyping of plants can turn the entire domestic selection.
"We set the task to provide the republic with its seed fund," Radiy Khabirov said.
It's simple and brilliant. Previously, breeders needed years of field tests to assess the productive qualities of a new variety - its resistance to drought, yield, taste qualities. The new complex allows you to remove all these indicators from the digital cast of the plant, repeatedly accelerating the process. This is not just a selection, but its GitHub-version, where the necessary “features” are implemented many times faster.
Rector of Bashgau Ildar Gabitov, explaining the essence of the development to Mikhail Mishustin, stressed: it is not just about numbers, but about exact compliance with the requirements of the customer. Need wheat for a specific type of flour in Altai? Corn that can withstand frost in Siberia? This is no longer a matter of decades, but of several seasons.
The Russian prime minister, known for his attention to technological detail, appreciated the scale.
- This is a great opportunity to grow a particular culture in accordance with the requirements of the customer, said Mikhail Mishustin. What Bashkortostan is doing in the field of genetics is a very big work that allows us to solve the problem of ensuring food security.
That is, behind the regional project, Moscow sees a solution to the global problem of Russia’s seed sovereignty.
“I told the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin about our know-how,” Radiy Khabirov said. This is, in particular, a combination of science, education and industrial partners in the field of plant and animal breeding. We set a task to ensure that by 2030, everything related to crop production and seed stock, we have our own.
But the achievements of the republic are not limited to the field. Here, for example, a robotic multimodal complex for automation of PCR diagnostics. It sounds complicated, but it actually means instantly and accurately diagnosing animal diseases on the farm. In conditions where the epizootic situation requires maximum vigilance, such speed is saved livestock and millions of rubles.
And next to it is the Digital Hive. A system that monitors bee colonies, their activity, health and even honey levels in real time. For the republic, where beekeeping is a science, a brand, and part of the cultural code, such digitalization is a way to protect and increase the national heritage.
Bashkiria demonstrates that the Russian agro-industrial complex is about the courage of the regional authorities to invest in science, experts say. In this new reality, Bashkortostan is one of the undisputed leaders.
