Batteries will become hotter: Ulyanovsk residents warned about eight-hour tests at CHPP-1
On Friday, October 23, residents of Ulyanovsk may notice an increase in the temperature of batteries and hot water

On Friday, October 23, residents of Ulyanovsk may notice an increase in the temperature of batteries and hot water. The reason will be the planned testing of CHPP-1 equipment, during which the station will operate at maximum load for eight hours.
Power engineers will check the readiness of the thermal power plant to work in winter. To do this, the equipment will be temporarily transferred to high load mode, which can lead to a short-term increase in the temperature of the coolant in the pipelines.
As a result, some apartments will become warmer than usual, and the water from the hot tap can heat up more than usual.
If the air temperature in the room is too high, Ulyanovsk residents are advised to contact their management company. Its specialists will be able to check the operation of the indoor heating system and, if necessary, adjust the parameters.
As reported in the company “T Plus”, management organizations warned in advance about the upcoming tests and the need to check the equipment of residential buildings.
Residents are asked to pay special attention to safety. If you find areas where steam comes out of communications, you should not approach them because of the risk of burns.
During the entire test period, the operation of the equipment will be controlled by representatives of the management of T Plus and the System Operator.
The inspection is carried out as part of the preparation of the energy infrastructure of Ulyanovsk for winter loads. Such measures allow to assess the operation of the station in conditions of increased consumption of thermal energy.
