From October 30, Belavia Airlines will start operating regular flights to Zhukovsky International Airport (Moscow). Flights resume after a six-year break, the press service of the airline told sb.by.

The event is symbolic for the Belarusian air carrier: Zhukovsky was opened 10 years ago, at the end of May 2016, and on September 12, 2016 it was the regular flight "Belavia" Minsk - Moscow that became the first in the history of the airport. Until the spring of 2020, flights were carried out daily, but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the program was suspended.
With the resumption of flights, cornflower aircraft will operate flights between Minsk and Zhukovsky daily. Departure from Minsk at 13:15, arrival in Moscow at 14:45. Return flight from Moscow at 15:35, arrival in Minsk at 17:05. The estimated flight time is 1 hour 30 minutes. Flights will be operated on comfortable Embraer-195 (107 seats). Tickets cost from 177 BYN one way and from 329 BYN round-trip (light fare). You can buy a ticket on the airline's website, from agents and at sales offices.
The possibility of resuming the flight program to Zhukovsky airline has been considered for a long time so that one of the most popular destinations Minsk-Moscow-Minsk will provide passengers with more options for flights, said Igor Cherginets, CEO of Belavia:
- This airport is actively used for travel to the cities of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, to which Belavia does not fly directly. From here, flights are carried out to remote regions of Russia: for example, to the Khanty-Mansiysk district. In addition, we expect that the route will be in demand by residents and guests of the southeast of Moscow, nearby cities (Ramenskoye, Lyubertsy and others), as well as neighboring regions. In particular, Ryazan and Vladimir. Thus, the upcoming opening of the flight will further strengthen transport, economic and business ties between the capitals of Belarus and Russia.
Alexander Senin, General Director of Zhukovsky Airport, welcomed Belavia:
- It is symbolic that the renewal of the partnership is associated with several anniversary events of 2026: the 10th anniversary of our airport and the first serviced flight, as well as the 30th anniversary of the airline itself. Over the years, a lot has changed: Belavia has come a long way, improving passenger services and developing the route network, and Zhukovsky Airport has almost completely transformed, becoming more beautiful, cozy and convenient for all categories of passengers. Only common intentions remain unchanged: to provide passengers with ample opportunities for comfortable and safe travel. The possibility of returning a ticket online became available on the Belavia website
