Belarusian schoolchildren are invited to test their knowledge at the national legal tournament “Power of Law”

The Ministry of Education, together with the National Center for Legislation and Legal Information and the BRSM, announced the start of accepting applications for participation in the VI Republican legal tournament “Power of Law”. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry.

In support of the Year of the Belarusian Woman, the following position was chosen as the theme of the intellectual competition: “The creative role of women and mechanisms for her legal support in the Republic of Belarus”.

- Students of grades 9-11 are invited to participate individually, the ministry said. The main goal of the tournament is legal education, professional orientation of schoolchildren, as well as the formation of a legal culture and practical experience in the implementation of their rights and obligations.

Registration of participants will last from October 20 to November 3 in primary organizations of BRSM educational institutions. The first (district) stage will be held on November 5 and will include 40 test questions. The second (regional, city) stage will take place on November 19 – participants will be tested and essay writing. The third (Republican Final) will be held on December 3. Starting from the second stage, all trials will take place online on the site of the Children's Legal Site. Topics of creative tasks will be announced to participants directly on the day of the stages.

The award ceremony will be held on December 3 as part of the events of the Belarusian Legal Forum “Law in the Modern World”. Detailed information about the procedure for the tournament and useful materials for preparation are posted on the Children's Legal Website.
