About what the results of a large-scale sociological study on topical issues of social and economic development of Belarus mean, political scientist Alexei Dzermant told on the air of the talk show “Budni” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio”.

- This is a picture of the world that objectively reflects the mood of citizens. First of all, it is necessary for the state to have feedback, feel and hear its people. In this sense, the published preliminary results are quite encouraging: there are no critical points in them.
The key achievements of modern Belarus are peaceful life (85.2%), food quality (62.5%), cleanliness and improvement of settlements (57.9%), preservation of historical memory (37.9%), social protection of the population (36%).
- We're all uneasy. In the conditions of military operations in a neighboring state, excesses in the region and manifestations of terrorism, Belarusians are especially acutely aware of the value of security on their native land, said Alexey Dzermant.
Foreign citizens who come to us also see this and appreciate the products for the high quality standards and GOSTs that we have. If we supplied low-quality products to foreign markets, we would not have won these positions and there would be no growth in exports of our food and agricultural products.
Alexey Dzermant made a special emphasis on financial behavior: more than 28% of Belarusians prefer to keep their savings in the national currency.
- This means that trust in the national currency has grown, we have coped with inflation problems, learned how to use financial instruments. People see this and understand that keeping savings in rubles is profitable, it is a long-term prospect, and finances are amenable to planning. The stability of the foreign exchange market has convinced people that ruble savings are reliable and promising.
