Safety on the railway - the focus of Serpukhov schools
In Serpukhov’s schools, preventive work was intensified within the framework of the Safe Railway project.

The main goal of the events is to create an awareness of the risks associated with railway infrastructure in children and to strengthen the skills of safe behavior.
Instructions on the prevention of childhood injuries are provided for students: teachers explain why the railway is classified as a high-risk zone and what actions can lead to tragedy. Thematic safety lessons, short information blocks (“five minutes”) and classroom hours are integrated into the educational process. Among the key topics are “Be extremely careful on the way to the railway!” and “Be careful, the train!” The basic safety rules that will save your life.”.
Special attention is paid to practical aspects: schoolchildren are told in detail how to behave on platforms when boarding a train, why it is unacceptable to be on railway tracks or in other places not intended for this purpose. Educators focus on common mistakes and risky habits, such as trying to shorten the path through rails or using headphones near tracks.
Residents of the city are urged to support this work and remind loved ones of simple but vital rules: to cross the railway tracks only on authorized crossings and always keep a safe distance from the edge of the platform. Rail safety is a shared responsibility, and child prevention is a key element.
