Peace and security are absolute values for our citizens

The absolute values for Belarusians are peace and security. Such an opinion, commenting on the results of the comprehensive republican sociological study, was expressed by BISI analyst Svetlana Aleynikova, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

- The greatest fear of Belarusians is traditional for our country and is associated with fears of war and security, Aleinikova explained.

Not even within Belarus, but all over the world and within society, people fear and do not accept a split.

- Therefore, internal peace, peace, the absence of wars are among the absolute values of our society, Aleinikova said.

In July - August 2026, the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus commissioned by BISI conducted a comprehensive republican sociological study. It was attended by 2,045 respondents from all regions of the country. On September 16, the second part of the results of the social research, which concerns socio-political topics, was presented in Minsk.
