In the Smolensk region summed up the interim results of the All-Russian online Olympiad “Safe roads”, which is held for the seventh time with the support of the national project “Infrastructure for life”. From September 22 to October 25, more than 10,000 schoolchildren in the region have already checked their knowledge of traffic rules.
The project helps children not only to learn theory, but also to learn how to react correctly in unusual traffic situations. The organizers of the Olympiad are the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the Uchi.ru platform and the National Priorities ANO.
Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin stressed that the safety of children is an unconditional priority. Under the national project, large-scale work is underway to update the road network and routes to schools, but flat asphalt will not replace attentiveness, so educational projects are being implemented.
Vasily Anokhin, Governor of the Smolensk Region, noted the integrated approach of the region: We are working on safety in a comprehensive manner: we are updating the road network, paying special attention to routes to schools and kindergartens, and in parallel we are forming a culture of safe behavior. Such projects help to establish this culture from childhood.”.
In 2026, participants will have to help fairy-tale characters who found themselves in our world and master modern means of individual mobility: bicycles, electric scooters and monowheels. Using the example of real road situations, students will understand how to safely cross the road, why retroreflective elements are needed and how to avoid injuries.
You can join the participants and check your knowledge until October 25 on the project portal: dorogi.uchi.ru. The content of the tasks is regularly updated, so students of grades 1-9 and preschoolers from five years old can join the Olympiad again.
