More than 100 kg of black caviar turned into a court for residents of Khabarovsk

In Khabarovsk, the court sentenced two local residents who participated in the illegal transportation of a consignment of black caviar to Moscow. The total weight of the seized cargo was 102 kg. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the Khabarovsk Territory.

One of the defendants was sentenced to five years of suspended imprisonment with a probation period of two years and a fine of 200 thousand rubles. The second convict was sentenced to five years and two months in a general regime colony, as well as a fine of 250 thousand rubles.

At the same time, the execution of the sentence of imprisonment for a woman was postponed until her daughter reached the age of 14 on the basis of part 1 of Article 82 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

According to the materials of the case, in the fall of 2025, an unknown person offered the woman to organize the delivery of cargo to Moscow for a fee, without disclosing its contents. She brought in an acquaintance for transportation.

For transportation, 188 plastic containers with caviar of Amur sturgeon and kaluga were prepared. One of the participants knew exactly what was in the containers, however, both defendants transferred the prohibited biological resources into the car.

At night, the vehicle was stopped by law enforcement officers during the operational-search event. The whole batch of caviar was seized.
