In the Volgograd region, the regional stage of the piloting championship of drones "Pilots of the Future" was held. More than 100 young residents of the region took part in the qualifying competitions.

According to the Registrar Committee of youth policy, the championship includes three consecutive disciplines. At the “Theoretical Testing” stage, participants answer 50 questions about the UAV’s design, operating principles, operating rules and safety. Then, on the “Technical Simulator – Unmanned Aircraft Races”, young pilots show virtual control skills in the Quadrosim environment. At the final stage of the 75mm Class, each participant must race for speed and accuracy, piloting real drones on an equipped track.

Participants who took the first to the fifth place will receive tickets to the final of the championship, which will be held from 17 to 22 November in Moscow.

The event is organized by the regional branch of the First Movement together with the Russian Drone Racing Federation. The First Movement is one of the most popular youth organizations in the region, there are more than 850 primary branches in the region.

Supporting talented youth is a task set by Governor Andrey Bocharov.
