This year, more than 142,000 residents of the Vologda region aged 18 to 49 have undergone medical examinations to assess reproductive health.
According to statistics of the regional Ministry of Health, 84% of men and women are considered healthy, practically healthy and able to become parents. In 16% of participants, chronic diseases, including reproductive system pathologies, were identified. They can negatively affect the conception and bearing of a child. They are assigned additional examination and treatment.
Early diagnosis plays a key role in maintaining fertility. According to experts, the timely detection of hidden infections and pathologies allows you to start therapy in time, prevent the development of infertility and plan a pregnancy with minimal risk for the mother and child.
The survey consists of two stages: basic screening and, if there are indications, in-depth examination by specialized specialists. Evaluation of reproductive health is available to both women and men from 18 to 49 years of age free of charge under the MHI policy within the framework of the national project “Family”.
