More than 155 thousand Volgograd residents took part in the action “Stop the fire together”
The events, which began in April, took place in all municipalities of the region - from districts to urban districts.
The annual preventive action “Stop Fire Together” in 2026 gathered more than 155 thousand people in the Volgograd region, as well as more than eight thousand enterprises and institutions. The regional committee for ensuring the safety of life of the population cites the following figures: in kindergartens and schools, more than 1.1 thousand open lessons and 400 excursions to the units of the fire service were held, where rescuers worked out algorithms of actions with the children.
In the cities and villages were conducted by-house rounds and conversations with residents, and during Saturdays managed to remove more than 1,400 unauthorized landfills and put in order protective strips.
The action “Stop Fire Together” has been held in the Volgograd region since 2016. Work on fire prevention continues in accordance with the tasks of Governor Andrei Bocharov. The fire season in the region is not over: in municipalities and the forest fund there is round-the-clock monitoring, departments are increasing prevention and raiding. On high alert – 122 units of the fire service, which serve more than 1.8 thousand people.
