More than 200 Penza men gathered the forum “Power of fatherhood”

On Saturday, October 17, the Lermontov School hosted the Regional Forum of Fathers “The Power of Fatherhood: Honor, Support, Traditions”. The event was timed to Father’s Day in Russia and held as part of the pilot project “Women for Men’s Health”.

The organizers were women. For more than two hundred men, they prepared a rich program: educational, creative and sports blocks.

Particular attention was attracted by the “Father-Healthcare” platform, which was organized by specialists of the Penza Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention. In the hall of the school developed a zone of express diagnostics. Every man could check the key indicators of his health. According to the results of the survey, a collective installation was created – “The Tree of Fathers’ Health”. She became a symbol of a conscious attitude towards herself and her family.

In addition to the medical field, the fathers passed psychological trainings, master classes in wood carving, flanking with a checker and folk dances. They also participated in the sports quest “Battle of the Titans”.

The business program of the forum included the round table “Family support – the strength of society: the role of the father in the upbringing of children and their social stability”. It was attended by representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, public organizations, educational institutions, health care, culture, sports and parental community. Participants discussed strengthening the status of the father, promoting traditional family values and preventing family distress.

Following the discussion, a resolution was adopted. It proposes to promote responsible fatherhood, help public organizations to support families, as well as continue the implementation of interdepartmental programs of active longevity and the work of “health areas” and “activity areas”.
