More than 400 million in the budget: the Smolensk customs service reported on the results of work in the Tver region

The Smolensk customs service in the Tver region summed up the work for 9 months of 2026. During this period, the department managed to replenish the federal budget by an impressive amount of 410 million rubles.

Officials carried out 65 verification activities under the so-called “post-control” (control after the release of goods). The effectiveness of this form of work is confirmed by the figures:

According to the results of inspections, 1,249 cases of administrative offences were initiated.

2 criminal cases have been initiated.

Effectiveness of post-control Head of the Smolensk customs service in the Tver region Evgeny Komlev noted that control after the release of goods is a priority.

“This makes it possible to collect customs duties due to payment more fully, as well as reduce the administrative burden on foreign trade participants and their costs,” Komlev said.
