In the Terek district, the repair of the Umba-Varzuga road continues as part of the national program “Live in the North!”. On the site from the 89th to the 105th kilometer, the readiness of work reached 55%. This was reported in the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Murmansk region.

Roadmen lay the finishing coating from the organo-mineral mixture in areas where the lower base has already been prepared. They also complete the formation of a layer of crushed-sand mixture and process wood-shrub vegetation into chips.

During the repair, the movement is organized in turn: work is carried out on one half of the carriageway, and transport is passed on the other. Drivers should consider this when planning their trips.

Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” reported that due to repairs on the highway Umba – Varzuga organized a reverse movement.
