Bryansk preschoolers will begin to teach the basics of reading and writing

In Russian kindergartens, a unified education program is introduced, which includes initial preparation for school. Preschoolers will be introduced to the basics of reading and writing according to their age.

At the same time, the main task of the kindergarten will remain the general development of the child and the formation of basic psychological functions. Preparation for school will be part of the educational program, not a substitute for preschool education.

In addition, the Ministry of Education of Russia plans to provide kindergartens with domestic toys. They will be purchased as part of the construction and overhaul of preschool institutions.

In the Bryansk region, ten schools are being overhauled and four kindergartens are being built.
