Accountant in Mordovia illegally received money from the budget of the Institute
The stolen amount was more than 800 thousand rubles.
In Saransk, the former chief accountant of the Mordovian Institute for Retraining of Agribusiness Personnel will appear before the court. The investigation believes that the man used access to financial documents for personal purposes and misappropriated the money of the institution.
According to law enforcement officers, the scheme operated from autumn 2021 to the end of 2024. The man corrected payment documents and registries, indicating the amount of bonuses and salaries above the due. As a result, as established by investigators, he received more than 800 thousand rubles.
Illegal actions were stopped by employees of the economic security unit in the spring of 2026. The investigation is completed, the materials of the fraud case on a large scale were transferred to the court. The accused fully compensated for the damage caused.
The circumstances of the case must now be assessed by the court. Reimbursement of money does not cancel the proceedings: the decision on guilt and possible punishment will be made in the manner prescribed by law.
