Last week, from 13 to 19 December, in the Rostov region recorded a noticeable decline in prices for motor fuel. According to Rosstat, the average cost of fuel in the region decreased by 1.5 rubles.
The most significant drop in prices affected gasoline brand AI-95. In just a week, a liter of this fuel fell from 85.42 to 83.45 rubles, which is almost 2 rubles.
Prices have also decreased for other fuels. The cost of AI-92 gasoline decreased per ruble, from 77.13 to 76.07 rubles per liter. Diesel fuel also became more affordable: the price decreased from 78.47 to 78.20 rubles per liter. The price of AI-98 and higher gasoline remained unchanged, which is still 111.49 rubles per liter.
Recall that from March 1, 2027 in the Rostov region will come into force new rules regarding the supply of fuel at petrol stations. For example, minors without a driver’s license will be prohibited from buying gasoline, except for those over 16 who have the legal right to drive vehicles.
It is also worth recalling that from July 10, 2026 in the Rostov region there are restrictions on the volume of fuel supply. For passenger cars, the norm is 30 liters of gasoline or 60 liters of diesel fuel, for trucks and special vehicles - up to 200 liters of diesel, and for interregional buses - up to 300 liters. These measures were taken in order to contain hype and ensure overall security.
In October of this year, the Don authorities approved a list of filling stations that allow fuel to be refueled in certified containers intended for household appliances, such as generators and chainsaws. It is important to note that at some gas stations this service will be available only at certain times of the day. The opportunity to refuel in certified tanks will appear at more than 48 filling stations in Taganrog, Rostov-on-Don, Zernograd, Azov, Novocherkassk and other cities in the region.
