Taxi prices in Rostov on the evening of October 16 jumped twice

Residents of Rostov-on-Don on the evening of October 16 faced an increase in the cost of taxis. According to “Yandex Taxi”, about 19:00 prices for individual routes were twice higher than usual.

For example, for a trip from Komsomolskaya Square to the embankment, the service offered to pay about 600 rubles. Usually this route costs about 300 rubles.

One of the possible reasons for the sharp rise in price could be rain. During precipitation, the demand for taxis can increase, which affects the cost of travel.

Earlier forecasters predicted on October 16 rain with a thunderstorm. At the same time, the air in the daytime hours should have warmed up to +21 degrees, and the wind speed during gusts should reach 12 meters per second.

I would choose the second option. It’s a bit more lively and immediately shows the reader a specific price difference.
