Chelyabinsk people earn on hobby on average 30 thousand rubles

For many residents of Chelyabinsk hobby ceased to be just a way to spend free time. According to the survey of “Avito Goods” and “Avito Services”, 59% of respondents have already received income from a hobby.

The average earnings on your favorite business, according to the study, is 30 thousand rubles. At the same time, the amounts of the respondents vary greatly: 17% received up to 5 thousand rubles, 11% - from 5 to 15 thousand, 10% - from 15 to 30 thousand, another 20% - more than 30 thousand.

Eight out of ten survey participants in principle allow earnings on hobbies. Most often, Chelyabinsk people see such an opportunity in music (20%), gardening (18%) and cooking (16%). Women among promising occupations are more often called needlework, men - cars, machinery and repair of things.

But not everyone is ready to turn free time into full work. For 30%, regular orders are preferred as an additional income. Another 26% would like to take only some interesting offers. 30% agree to make a hobby the main source of funds, with 8% considering their own business.

Those who have not yet sold their work have their own conditions. A third will wait for the first interested buyer, 27% want to first make sure that the quality of work is stable, and 23% want to get a professional evaluation.

Nine out of ten respondents are ready to spend money on the development of hobby. The average estimated one-time amount is 36 thousand rubles. At the same time, 42% would be limited to investing up to 15 thousand, another 16% – from 15 to 30 thousand.

Even if passion becomes the main job, 39% of respondents are going to do it for themselves. Another 14% want to limit the number of orders in order not to lose interest.
