Montenegro abolishes visa-free regime for Russian citizens from November
From November 1, the rules of entry to Montenegro for Russians will change significantly

From November 1, the rules of entry to Montenegro for Russians will change significantly. As Russian Ambassador Alexander Lukashik informed, the Montenegrin side sent an official notification on the termination of the Agreement on the terms of mutual trips of September 24, 2008.
Now, to visit Montenegro, Russians will need a visa of Montenegro or a visa of a number of other countries, including the Schengen countries.
The official representative of the foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova linked this step with the course of Podgorica on European integration. According to the diplomat, such restrictions will negatively affect the tourism industry and the investment attractiveness of Montenegro itself. In response, Russia also introduces a visa regime for Montenegrin citizens.
Until then, Russians could stay in Montenegro for up to 30 days, with only a foreign passport.
