Four new complexes of MSW will appear in Mari El in the coming years

Every year, about 159 thousand tons of garbage are formed in the republic. Currently, there are 13 landfills in the region for its burial, but waste can only be sorted at two existing complexes.

New facilities are planned to be placed in Yoshkar-Ola, Cernur and the Volga municipal district. Another complex facility will appear in the Medvedev district.

At the same time, at the construction sites of complexes in Yoshkar-Ola and Cernur, there was a backlog from the schedule earlier. The reason was the inefficient work of the former general contractor. However, the concessionaires decided to replace the contractor. Now the new company will have to make up for lost time and complete construction on time.
