Yukhnov official fined for silence

In the Yukhnov district, the head of the Belyaevsky territorial department was fined 5 thousand rubles for violating the terms of consideration of the citizen’s appeal. This was reported in the Prosecutor’s office of the Kaluga region.

The reason for the inspection was the appeal of a local resident. The supervisory authority found out that the official did not consider the application regarding compliance with the requirements in the field of improvement within the period established by law and did not send a response.

The prosecutor's office opened an administrative offence case against the official. Under Article 5.59 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, liability is provided for violation of the procedure for considering citizens' appeals.

After the intervention of the prosecutor's office, the violation was eliminated: the applicant was sent a response.
