What to do if the border signs are missing on the site: instructions from the State Property Committee
If boundary signs have disappeared on your land, do not try to determine the boundaries by eye or focus only on the fence - this can lead to disputes with neighbors and errors in construction.
The press service of the State Property Committee explained how to find out the boundaries of the land plot, if the boundary signs fixing its limits are lost.
The committee recalled that boundary signs serve to fix the turning points of the boundaries of the land plot on the ground - with their help you can clearly establish the location of the site and prevent possible disagreements with neighbors.
Experts stressed that in case of loss of boundary signs, you should not try to independently determine the boundaries by eye and rely only on the already installed fence. The best option is to apply to land managers. They will analyze the available data on the land plot, perform the necessary measurements and restore the boundaries on the ground, fixing the turning points with boundary signs - within the framework of the contract for the work.
“Precisely established boundaries are not just marks on the ground, but an opportunity to avoid land disputes, errors in construction and additional costs,” the committee concluded.
