As of September 1, 2026, the republic ranks second among the regions of Russia in the ranking of digital transformation.
The head of the region Oleg Nikolaev noted the convenience and speed of providing public services through the Unified Public Services Portal (EPGU).
In matters of digitalization, the main criterion for me is the real comfort of people. We need technology to work for people. It used to take weeks to process benefits or compensation. And today, for example, the necessary payments for child nutrition or benefits for expectant mothers are appointed on average for 1-2 hours. One-time payment for the third child – most often within a few hours after submitting the application, Nikolaev wrote in his channel in MAX.
According to him, thanks to the Life Situations service, the necessary services are collected in one section, and users can track the progress of consideration of applications in their personal account.
The development of digital services is carried out within the framework of the national project “Data Economy”. In 2026, more than 77% of registered users of the portal actively use it.
In 2025, 88.8% of socially significant services were provided electronically, with a federal target of 52%.
