Zhao Qingqiu: Cooperation with Belarus is strategically important for Chinese business

Issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation are in the focus of attention of business circles at the V International Forum for Economic Cooperation. On September 11, the head of the secretariat of the Association of Chinese Companies in Belarus Zhao Qingqiu told reporters, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

According to her, the partnership with the republic has a deep strategic importance for the Chinese side and opens up new long-term prospects.

- Cooperation between our countries is already supported by the successful implementation of world-class flagship projects. Among them are the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park “Great Stone”, which has become the pearl of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and the high-tech BelGee automobile plant, whose products are in great demand. The accumulated experience allows us to confidently scale this partnership, the head of the secretariat said at the forum.

Zhao Qingqiu highlighted the key areas that Chinese business considers as the most profitable and promising for launching new joint initiatives.

- Traditionally, the trade and economic sphere is the most dynamic sector that allows you to quickly reach specific commercial results. The next strategic vectors are the construction complex, which has accumulated extensive experience in the construction of large infrastructure and social facilities, as well as industry and production cooperation aimed at creating joint ventures. Finally, we see huge potential for development in the humanitarian sphere – in the field of culture and tourism, which help bring our peoples closer together and open up new opportunities for hospitality. In addition, great benefits are laid in the field of new innovative technologies, which are equally in demand in Belarus and China today, Zhao Qingqiu concluded.
