Tasting, relay, photo contest: the gastrophest "Zhabinkovskiy dranik" is held in Brest region

District family and gastronomic festival "Zhabinkovskiy Dranik" was organized today, October 24, in Zhabinka. The holiday is held for the second year in a row. But this time a new location, writes sb.by.

On the main square of Zhabinka today is not only crowded, but also tasty, aromatic, soulful. Here unfolded a regional holiday dedicated to one of the main national dishes - dranik. Opening the festival, Andrey Kuzmich, Chairman of the Zhabinkovo District Executive Committee, stressed that potatoes for Belarusians are not just a product, they are rightly called second bread:

- We want Zhabinka to have her own gastronomic business card - "Zhabinkovskiy Dranik". We want our festival to be known not only in the Brest region, but also in other regions of Belarus, so that guests from near abroad come to us. We are just beginning this journey. This festival is an opportunity to try new formats, hear reviews, understand what is especially interesting for residents and guests. I hope that today will give a good mood, new impressions and, of course, the opportunity to try a variety of draniks. Let the "Zhabinkovskiy Dranik" become our common good tradition, and Zhabinkovshchyna - a place where you want to come again and again!

The menu of the gastronomic festival includes branded dranics according to unique recipes of organizations and enterprises of the district, as well as other dishes of Belarusian cuisine.

Also, the festival program includes a rural relay, drawing competitions and a photo contest dedicated to dranics, as well as an agricultural lottery.
