In Verkhoturye, the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Denis Pasler handed over the keys to four new houses to public sector employees. Housing area of 79.9 square meters each received two doctors and two teachers, according to the Department of information policy of the Sverdlovsk region.

Among the new residents are young specialists, therapists of the Central District Hospital of Verkhotur district Valeria Sharmay and Julia Pronicheva. Both girls graduated from the Ural State Medical University in the targeted direction from the hospital.

The keys were also handed to Svetlana Deryabina, a teacher of primary school No. 2, a teacher with 14 years of experience who is raising two daughters. Another set of keys was received by the family of Mikhalei: Roman Sergeevich works in the Krasnogorsk school and in the Center for Children’s Creativity, he is a participant in a special military operation, a veteran of hostilities; together with his wife, they raise three children. For this family, owning a home has become a really important solution to an urgent problem, said Denis Pasler.

Construction of houses began in October last year after the administration of the Verkhotur municipal district provided land plots for rent. The work was completed by the contractor in September 2026.

In his social networks, the Governor thanked everyone who supported the project. He stressed that the construction of housing for public sector workers continues throughout the region, and the emergence of a new neighborhood in Verkhoturye is the first step towards creating an area where people will be able to live and work. It is also part of a major urban renewal program.

Dmitry Zhukov, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk region, called the transfer of housing not just the delivery of keys, but an investment in the future of the city and the region: this strengthens the human potential, and specialists have confidence in the future.

The ceremony was also attended by honorary citizen of Verkhoturye Alexei Vorobyov, who is actively involved in projects for the development of the city.

The program of providing service housing is designed to help consolidate personnel in Verkhoturye and create comfortable conditions for working in local health and education institutions.

Earlier, MK-Ural wrote that in the Sverdlovsk region a new project of integrated development of territories is being launched, which provides for the construction of housing for doctors and teachers in the Artemovsk municipal district. It is planned to build low-rise apartment buildings with a total area of at least 7.5 thousand square meters on a plot of two hectares.
