NAO deputies adopted a law banning retail sale of electronic cigarettes
From March 1, 2027, the NAO will begin to ban the retail sale of vapes

From March 1, 2027, the NAO will begin to ban the retail sale of vapes.
The order to develop the relevant bill in June of this year was given by the governor of the NAA Irina Gekht. The head of the region stressed that vaping is not just a harmless hobby, but a direct path to serious health problems in children, so the ban on retail sales of electronic nicotine delivery systems and liquids to them is a conscious choice in favor of a healthy lifestyle.
The bill to ban the retail sale of electronic nicotine delivery systems and liquids to them was developed by the Department of Internal Control and Supervision of the NAO. On Wednesday, October 21, deputies of the Assembly of Deputies of the NAO adopted it at the session in two readings.
As noted by the acting head of the Department of internal control and supervision Anatoly Steblenko, the date of entry into force of the ban is due to the provisions of the federal law, which gave the subjects of the Russian Federation the right to establish such a ban in the period from March 1, 2027 to March 1, 2032.
- Electronic cigarettes, pod systems, evaporators (including without nicotine), electronic hookahs and liquids to them are prohibited. The purpose of the measure is to reduce the availability of nicotine-containing products, primarily for minors, as well as the prevention of diseases associated with the use of electronic cigarettes, said Anatoly Steblenko.
It is worth noting that at the federal level there is already a ban on the remote sale of devices for the consumption of nicotine-containing products (paragraph 3 of Article 19 of the Federal Law No. 15-FZ of 23.02.2013).
